Dr. Geoffrey C. Gurtner is the Chair of the Department of Surgery and a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Arizona. As a general and plastic surgeon, Dr. Gurtner formerly held the position of Johnson and Johnson Professor of Surgery and Bioengineering (by courtesy) and Materials Science (by courtesy) at Stanford University. He has also served as the President of the Wound Healing Society and as the Executive Director of the Stanford Advanced Wound Care Center. Dr. Hajhosseini had the incredible privilege of training under Dr. Gurtner and completed a two-year Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Wound Healing at Stanford University in California.
Dr. Simpson
Dr. Roger L. Simpson has been a partner at New York Plastic Surgical Group, a Division of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, since 1981. He also held the position of President of the practice from 2013 to 2018. With a career spanning over three decades, Dr. Simpson served as the Director of the Residency Training Program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Fellowship Training Program in Burn Surgery at Nassau University Medical Center. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Board of Director Emeritus at the Nassau County Firefighters Burn Center Foundation. Dr. Hajhosseini had the privilege of training under Dr. Simpson and completing a one-year Clinical Fellowship in Burn Surgery at Nassau University of Stony Brook Medicine in New York.
