Description

Wound and Burn Centers of America is currently accepting applications for its one-year Fellowship Program in Advanced Wound Healing. This non-ACGME fellowship will cover all aspects of the wound healing specialty, including, but not limited to, Complex Wound Healing, Burn Injuries, Scar Prevention and Management, Limb Preservation, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Laser Therapy, and Regenerative Medicine. Fellows will rotate through various clinical services and will function as integral members of our team.

Research opportunities exist, and fellows are encouraged to attend and present original research at the annual Wound Healing Society meeting and other related national and international conferences. Upon completing the training, fellows are expected to acquire essential knowledge and experience to assume leadership roles and independently operate multidisciplinary wound centers. Graduates from our fellowship program will have the chance to interview for future leadership positions at Wound and Burn Centers of America.

Application Requirements:

  • Letter of Intent
  • Current Curriculum Vitae
  • Three Letters of Recommendation, one from the current/most recent Program Director
  • USMLE Transcripts
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (board-certified or board-eligible). Consideration will also be given to graduates of other ABMS Member Boards and active residents in good standing with at least three years of post-graduate training who are currently attending their Professional Development Year (Research Year).
  • Applicants must be qualified for full licensure in the State of California (Medical Board of California).
